Outcomes and regulatory oversight at Elevated Living Group

Ofsted Registration & Inspection

Elevated Living Group's residential homes across the North West are fully registered with Ofsted under the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Ofsted registration means that our homes are subject to independent inspection, ensuring they meet the national Quality Standards for children's homes across seven domains:

  • The quality and purpose of care standard
  • The children's views, wishes and feelings standard
  • The education standard
  • The enjoyment and achievement standard
  • The health and wellbeing standard
  • The positive relationships standard
  • The protection of children standard

Commissioning authorities can access our current Ofsted registration details and inspection reports via the Ofsted portal. Our Registered Managers are available to discuss any aspect of our regulatory compliance.

Outcomes Across All Areas of Children's Lives

We measure progress across the full range of a child's life - not just compliance and safety, but education, health, happiness, relationships, and preparation for adulthood.

Education & Learning

We track school attendance rates, educational progress, EHCP compliance, and achievement of educational goals for every child. Children with EBD and learning disabilities in our residential homes show measurable improvement in school engagement compared to their placement history.

Emotional Wellbeing

Using established wellbeing tools and regular reviews, we monitor each child's emotional wellbeing over time. Most children placed with us show measurable improvements in self-regulation, confidence, and emotional expression as their placement progresses.

Placement Stability

Placement stability is one of the most important indicators of effective residential care. We work hard to maintain stable, long-term placements - avoiding the disruption of repeated moves that so many children in care have experienced. We track stability from admission to planned move-on.

Health & Physical Wellbeing

We ensure every child in our residential homes has access to appropriate primary healthcare, dentistry, and optometry. We monitor health appointments, support healthy diet and exercise, and facilitate specialist health interventions as identified in each child's care plan.

Relationships & Social Skills

We actively develop children's ability to form and maintain positive relationships - with peers, with adults, and with their families where appropriate. Improved social skills and reduced isolation are consistent themes in feedback from children, families, and placing social workers.

Preparation for Adulthood

For older young people, we focus increasingly on the skills and confidence needed for independent living. Life skills development, vocational aspirations, and positive move-on planning are all tracked as part of our Pathway Planning process in partnership with the placing authority.

Feedback from Commissioners & Professionals

We are proud of the relationships we build with the local authorities and professionals who place children with us. Here is some of what they have told us.

"Elevated Living Group has provided an exceptional level of care for the young person we placed with them. The progress [the child] has made since joining their home in Stockport has been remarkable - particularly in terms of school attendance and emotional regulation. The communication from their team has been outstanding throughout."

Commissioning Social Worker Greater Manchester Local Authority

"We have been placing children with Elevated Living Group for over two years. The stability of their homes, the quality of their staff, and their genuine commitment to therapeutic outcomes sets them apart. They are one of our most trusted and valued residential care partners."

CW
Placements Manager Cheshire Local Authority

"As the IRO for a child placed at Elevated Living Group, I have consistently been impressed by the quality of care and the genuine warmth of the staff team. The child's views are central to everything the home does, and the progress in their wellbeing and learning has been evident at each review. A provider I am very happy to recommend."

Our Local Authority Partnership Approach

We believe the best outcomes for children happen when residential providers and local authorities work as true partners - with shared goals, open communication, and mutual accountability.

Transparent Reporting

Commissioning authorities receive regular written progress reports, timely notification of significant events, and full access to care plan documentation. We never wait to be asked - we proactively share information that placing authorities need to fulfil their corporate parenting responsibilities.

Statutory Review Participation

Our Registered Managers and keyworkers attend all LAC reviews, PEP reviews, and EHCP reviews as required. We contribute detailed reports and work with the child's review team to agree and implement care plan updates. We see our role as an active partner in the care planning process, not simply a service provider.

Direct Access to Management

Placing authority professionals always have direct access to our Registered Manager and our senior leadership team. We do not operate through intermediaries or call centres. If you have a concern or query about a child in our care, you can call and speak to the people responsible for that child's care directly.

Collaborative Problem Solving

When challenges arise - as they inevitably do in complex residential care - we approach them collaboratively. We communicate openly about difficulties, seek input from the placing authority's professional network, and work together to find solutions that put the child first. We view placing authorities as partners, not inspectors.
